WILD NATURE
The green Corsica captivates with its high mountains and wild, romantic landscapes.
A multitude of dreamy bays with crystal-clear water entice you to relax, swim and barbecue.
Wild, primal and unapproachable or lovely, inviting and tame?
Corsica has many faces.
We take a look at the most beautiful ones.
Most sailors probably think of the famous Strait of Bonifacio and the nearby Maddalena Islands when they think of Corsica.
But the island of Corsica – still relatively insignificant as a sailing area and therefore less frequented – has much more to offer and it is definitely worth exploring this mountain range in the sea from the sea.
Both the west and the east of Corsica impress with wild, rugged coasts where many a quiet bathing and anchorage bay awaits our arrival.
Sometimes gracefully framed by smooth granite rocks, sometimes Caribbean lagoon-like with wide sandbanks and turquoise blue water, they always invite you to linger, swim and laze around.
At sunset, you can enjoy a barbecue on board or visit a nearby restaurant – simply “vivre comme Dieu en France”.
Due to better accessibility, the sailing trip starts and ends in Olbia on Sardinia.
From here, we set sail via the Maddalena Islands and Bonifacio for an adventure, discovery and pleasure cruise around Corsica.
The sailing area around Corsica – although located in the middle of the Mediterranean – is by no means overcrowded and has a pristine, wild and romantic beauty.
A thoroughly authentic cruise for all nature lovers.

Your sailing vacation
around Corsica
What to expect and what you should know about your sailing trip on the Fair Lady
General Information
The sailing trip around Corsica is basically suitable for all beginners interested in sailing as well as for advanced sailors of all ages. These can be individuals, senior citizens, couples, groups of friends, groups (e.g. from sailing schools and/or clubs) or families with children over the age of 16.
The sailing requirements of the trip are moderate; around Corsica there are steady but not too strong sailing winds, the waves are usually low and navigation along the island coast is not rocket science anyway.
In principle, participants are welcome to sail along at any time, but this is not a prerequisite.
The yacht moves exclusively close to the coast.
Sailing only takes place during the day in stages of 2 - 5 hours and in good conditions, depending on whether you decide to spend an active day sailing together or a day swimming and strolling.
We usually spend the night in one of the beautiful bays at anchor or on the jetty of a local restaurant.
Corsica offers few harbors or marinas for leisure boating, which is why our sailing days together often end in one of the picture-book bays.
As there is not a restaurant in every bay, we will often cook on board or fire up the barbecue.
In addition to the "vacation under sail" and the associated extremely high deceleration factor, the focus of this sailing trip is on experiencing the landscape and nature, swimming, snorkelling, relaxing and enjoying.
Furthermore, Corsica offers a wide variety of shore excursions, not only to the tourist center of Bonifacio but also excursions across the island or various hikes in wild and unspoiled nature.

I summarize the individual wishes and am happy to give tips on the respective destinations or contribute my own experience to ensure an all-round successful sailing trip for all participants.
